What Lives Shall Die, What Dies Shall Live

A reflection on loss, stillness, and the space between things.

It began in Nubra Valley, Ladakh.
I came searching for moments—stories, faces, light.
At a rare ceremony for His Holiness, I thought I found it.

But the next day, the images from that moment were gone.
A card error. Just that part. Erased.

At first, it felt like a loss.
But maybe it wasn’t meant for me.

Later that day, I arrived at Lchang Nang, a retreat folded into the valley.
There, I stopped chasing. I slowed down.
And in that stillness, I saw the totality of it all—
how some stories aren’t meant to be kept,
some are simply meant to be lived.

Inspired by the words of Clarissa Pinkola Estés, a real moment of loss, and a conversation with my friend, Shaurya, that shifted my perspective.

Directed, filmed & edited entirely by me

Special thanks
